STARTING POINT VENICE

DAY 1: VENICE - TRIESTE - CROATIA
Venice - unique town in the world. Once, the center of the powerful Venetian republic. Among many important monuments here you can find world masterpieces.
Trieste - town and harbour with the long commercial tradition has always been an important transitory meeting place. The melting pot of different cultures, nations and religions. You are going to see the old St. Giusto church next to the medieval castle with a beautiful panoramic view, as well as the romantic Miramar castle situated on steep rocks next to the sea.
After Trieste you will go to Opatija – the pearl of Adriatic sea.

DAY 2: OPATIJA - ISTRIA TOUR
The day will start with sightseeing of Opatija. After Opatija you will go to Istria. 1st city which we will visit in Istria is Pula. Pula is one of the oldest Istrian towns whose history goes back for 2000 years. Take a walk through the town, see the Arena, Triumphal arch of the Sergi family, temple of Augustus and many more.
After Pula comes Rovinj. According to many one of the most beautiful Istrian towns. Build on an island with lots of colorful houses with Venetian architecture, squeezed one to another and to the very edge by the sea and with the wonderful church of St. Euphemia on the very top of the island in which you can still see the sarcophagus from the early 4th century.
Poreč is the last town you will visit on your Istria tour. Poreč is an antic town with the Cardo and Decumanus streets and the Euphrasian Basilica from the 6th century that represents the real example of Byzantine art with its well-known mozaics. There is also the old roman house and many more of the cultural monuments that still live in the legends and history of the region. On the other hand Poreč is a modern touristic town, center of tourism that attracts many tourists with different events.

DAY 3: OPATIJA - ZADAR
Ride to Zadar in the early morning. After arrival follows sightseeing of the town. You will see roman forum, romanic church of St. Donat – the most valuable monument of pre-romanic architecture in Croatia and a simbol of Zadar. Because of its special shape it is considered one of the most rear monuments in Europe. You will also visit Kalelarga – beautiful main street in Zadar, cathedral of St. Stošija – which is the biggest church in Dalmatia. It's roots go back to early christian period, and it's final form is from romanic period. The one thing you can't miss is the sea organ – a unique instrument that plays with help of the waves and wind.  
 
DAY 4: ZADAR - ŠIBENIK - TROGIR - SPLIT
Arrival to Šibenik in the morning hours. Sightseeing of the old part of the city (cathedral of St. Jacob, city hall, fortress of St. Mihovil). Free time, after which you start towards Trogir.
Trogir has been one of the biggest centres in Dalmatia during middle ages. There you can find famous works of majstor Radovan, old city centre built in 13.-15. century with it's defense walls; chatedral with baptistery is one thing you can't miss on this journey – it is a monument of gothic and renaissance art in Croatia, as well as the chapell of blessed Ivan Trogiranin. The interior of the chapell is decorated with works of italian sculptor Andrija Alessi, Nikola Firentinac and Ivan Duknović – famous croatian sculptors.
The sightseeing of Split will be held at the afternoon hours. You will visit the famous Dioklecian's palace – one of the best kept monuments of early roman art in the world. The emperor's palace has been built as a connection of a roman villa and a roman castrum, divided on four parts with two main streets – Cardo and Decumanus.

DAY 5: SPLIT - DUBROVNIK

After breakfast you will start towards Dubrovnik. On the programme is sightseeing of the town and then check in the hotel. Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia. It's roots go back to 7th century, but it's final look has been determined after Big earthquake in 1667. Architecture is a mix of gothic-renaissance, and early baroque style – characteristic by the connection of architecture and nature. You will see the city walls, church od St. Vlaho, chatedral of Assumption of Holy Virgin Mary, church of St. Spas, Rector's palace and Sponza; collegium of jesuits etc.


DAY 6: DUBROVNIK – KNIN – PLITVICE

From Dubrovnik, through Knin, you will arrive on Plitvice lakes, one of the most famous national parks in Croatia. There you will find 16 turquise lakes with crystal clear water, and over a hundred waterfalls. This national park is a part of UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list.


DAY 7: PLITVICE - ZAGREB
Departure in the morning towards Croatia's capital city – Zagreb. You will see Ban Jelačić Square, the green Zagreb's horseshoe (Lenuzzijeva potkova) created in the second half od 19th century. It is also the biggest urbanistic project that has determined further development of Zagreb. It is consisted of all the bigger and main squares and a botanical garden. The visit to ZOO is optional.  

DAY 8: ZAGREB – LJUBLJANA
Arrival in the capital city of Slovenia in the morning hours. You will visit the old city on the hill where you can enjoy panoramic view on the whole city. There is a ropeway connecting the hill with the new city centre. In Ljubljana you will see a lot of monuments such as Prešern's sculpture, franciscan church, Robb's fountain etc. 

DAY 9: LJUBLJANA – VENICE
From Ljubljana you will go back to Venice, which will mark the end of your tailor made tour.
