SLOVENIA AND CROATIA 12 DAYS - 11 NIGHTS
DAY 1: LJUBLJANA
Transfer and overnight in Ljubljana.
DAY 2: LJUBLJANA - BLED - BOHINJ - LJUBLJANA
After breakfast, a walking city tour in the heart of Ljubljana, including the colorful riverside market, the playfully Art Nouveau Dragon Bridge, the Triple Bridge and the town's main square dedicated to Slovenia's greatest poet, France Prešeren. Then a short drive into Slovenia's Julian Alps leads us to the azure jewel of Lake Bled. We'll take in the panoramic view from Bled's hilltop castle, then leave you with free time to stroll around the lakeside town, or maybe take a pletna boat to visit the chapel-topped island. After lunch we'll have a scenically-winding, mountain-pass drive to the breathtaking Soča River Valley. Then we return to Ljubljana for overnight.
DAY 3: LJUBLJANA - POSTOJNA - PREDJAMA CASTLE - OPATIJA
Departure to Postojna Caves, the biggest and most visited caves in Europe. A mesmerizing web of tunnels, passages, galleries and halls, the fantastic natural complex of caves that is visited part with a electric train and part on foot.
DAY 4: OPATIJA - PULA - MOTOVUN - OPATIJA
We'll spend the day exploring the Istrian Peninsula, studded with Roman ruins, Venetian architecture, and a landscape evocative of pre-tourist Tuscany. We'll time-travel through Pula's Roman amphitheater and the historical center. Then we will travel to Motovun. The picturesque town has a privileged position, on the top of a hill, surrounded by vineyards. It is also famous for the special rare truffles that are found in the area. We'll return to our hotel in Opatija.
DAY 5: OPATIJA - PLITVICE
Departure early from Opatija toward one of the most beautiful National Parks in Croatia. Its 16 emerald lakes connected through numerous waterfalls and cascades provide the tourists an unforgettable experience to the visitors. The visit lasts between 3-4 hours and includes a lot of walking and a boat trip in the main lake at the park. Nature at its best and a great opportunity to take beautiful pictures and memories home.

DAY 6: PLITVICE - ZADAR - ŠIBENIK
It's time to go to Dalmatia. The rocky landscape with gorgeous crystal clear sea and many small islands welcomes the tourists with its wonders. First stop at the city of Zadar. The city has a rich history dating from prehistoric times to present days. The old town is surrounded by the Adriatic Sea and the Sea Organ and solar panel to greet the sun are recent constructions that make the town a must visit place. Then we go to the hotel in the area of Šibenik - Split for overnight.
DAY 7: ŠIBENIK - TROGIR - SPLIT
A day to explore two beautiful cities in Dalmatia: Šibenik and Trogir. The old town of Trogir is set on an orthogonal island whose structure dates back to the Hellenistic period and it was embellished by successive rulers with many fine public and domestic buildings and fortifications. There are beautiful romanesque churches and outstanding renaissance and baroque buildings from the Venetian period. Unlike other cities along the Adriatic coast, which were established by Greeks, Illyrians and Romans, Šibenik was founded by Croats. The city's many fortifications, old center and the impressive Cathedral of St James, set in front of the Adriatic Sea. Overnight in the Šibenik - Split area.
DAY 8: SPLIT
The second biggest city in Croatia, Split has great historical importance. Built within the walls of the ancient Palace of Emperor Diocletian, the old town still keeps much of its original structure. The walls were the basis for the construction of the ancient city and to this day it is inhabited by local people. At the Palace complex it is situated the Cathedral of St. Dominus, the Peristil and the temple of Jupiter. The old town is in front of the Sea with a beautiful promenade. Overnight in the Šibenik - Split area.
DAY 9: SPLIT - MOSTAR - POČITELJ - NEUM
Visit the neighboring country, Bosnia. The beautiful banks of the Neretva River will lead us to Mostar, the meeting point of two cultures and religions. The town is listed as one of the UNESCO's World Heritage. The famous Mostar bridge has a beautiful view of the river banks and the two side of the town. Then stop by at the village of Počitelj, ruled for longtime by Ottomans the settlement keeps the public buildings: mosques, imaret (charitable kitchen), mekteb (Muslim primary school), medresa (Muslim high school), hamam, baths, han (inn) and the sahat-kula (clock-tower).

DAY 10: NEUM - KORČULA - DUBROVNIK
Morning departure to the Pelješac peninsula where we will go by boat to the Island of Korčula, a beautiful fortified town, known for the beautiful landscape and for claims that it was the birthplace of the famous navigator Marco Polo. Some of the interesting sights to see in the island are the Land Gate, The Revelin Tower, The St Mark Cathedral and the House of Marko Polo. After visiting Korčula and enjoying its wonders, it is possible to stop by at the town of Ston to take pictures of the Ston Walls, once considered the largest walls in the world, after the Wall of China. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 11: DUBROVNIK
Dubrovnik is the one of the most visited cities in Croatia. Gothic-renaissance style with influences of early baroque is typical for churches, palaces and buildings within the old town. Walls are completed by the gorgeous landscape of the Adriatic Sea and the Elafiti Islands that are nearby. The Ploče and Pile Gate, the Rector's Palace, The Franciscan Monastery are some of famous sights in Dubrovnik.
Overnight in the Dubrovnik area.
DAY 12: DUBROVNIK
End of the tour.
